Legal and Privacy Statements

Policies, every company has them. They are our operating principles and they help to define our relationship. When in doubt, they help guide us and help you understand who we are. Here is a summary of ours. They may change from time to time and when they do, updates will be posted here.

If at any time you have questions about our practices or any of your rights described below or need additional information, you can contact us.

Sales and returns policy

Single-Sourcing Solutions Products. All sales are final. Prices may change at any time, and we do not provide price protection or refunds in the event of a price reduction or promotional offering.

Electronic products. Unless otherwise specified, electronic products (books, code, sample files) are not returnable after purchase. No refunds are available for virtual, downloadable products.

Physical products. Physical products purchased in our online store are not returnable or refundable.

TPC Affinity Group Memberships and Our Expert in Your Pocket Service. You can cancel your subscription-based membership at any time. Please note that you must cancel your membership before it renews in order to avoid being charged for the next membership period. If you cancel your membership, the cancellation will become effective at the end of the active membership period (annual or monthly). Refunds will not be provided for any membership. We do not provide credit, refunds, or prorated billing for memberships that are cancelled before the end of the active membership period. Benefits do not roll over and unused benefits expire at the end of each annual term.

Workshops and Online Training Classes. Course registrations are for individuals only. Each attendee must log into the training space. The class transmission may only be broadcast/displayed to paid participants. The registration is not transferrable and the transmission of course content cannot be recorded, shared, or used to train a group (unless approved in writing in advance by Single-Sourcing Solutions). Class registrations cancelled more than 15 days prior to the class date will be issued a 90% refund. Class registrations cancelled within 14-8 days prior to the class date will be issued a 50% refund. Class registrations cancelled within 7 days of the class date are non-refundable.

Services. Services that are booked online through our booking application require 24-hours advance notice (1 day before appointment start) for refund. If you must cancel after this deadline and made a prepayment, we will retain your prepayment. Services that are tied to a quote we provided are governed by these terms as well as any additional terms included in the quote.

PTC Software purchased prior to 28 February 2021. All PTC software is for electronic download only. It can take up to 3-5 days for orders to process through the PTC licensing system. Maintenance is valid through 1 year from date of purchase. There are no refunds for software returns. Refunds are available only for in-center training classes that are cancelled by PTC or Single-Sourcing Solutions due to low registration numbers. We stopped selling PTC Software 28 February 2021. This notice applies to all software purchased prior to that date.

Financial Relationships and Other Disclosures

We believe that every company should declare their affiliations, relationships, and partnerships.

We are not a PTC Channel Partner. We do not earn commission on any Arbortext products or maintenance contracts that a customer may or may not purchase. We know that Arbortext isn't right for everyone and not all of our customers use it. We get zero compensation for recommendations. We get zero compensation if you buy the product directly from PTC or from a PTC partner. We prefer Arbortext for many reasons. If you're interested in our story, just ask; we will tell. Everyone here at Single-Sourcing Solutions started as a customer. None of our employees ever worked for Arbortext or for PTC. We earned our knowledge the hard way and we share it with our customers so they don't have to work as hard as we did.

Featured Speakers and Guest Bloggers. We do not accept payments for exposure for articles that appear on our blog. No compensation changes hands for an individual to be offered a presentation in the TC Dojo. All presenters are chosen based on their expertise, past performance, inclusion at industry events and conferences, or were requested by a member of the TC Dojo and Single-Sourcing Solutions communities with respect to a specific topic.​

Affiliate Link Policy.

We are a proud customer and affiliate of HappyScribe. Their service has enabled us to add transcripts and subtitles to our video content (old and new) and we are grateful to have found them to make our content more accessible for more people. We recommend their service, greatly.

As of 2016, we are a participant in the Amazon Services LLC Associates Program, an affiliate advertising program designed to provide a means for sites to earn advertising fees by advertising and linking to amazon.com. We recommended books and products easily found on Amazon for years before joining this program. In much of content, you'll find buttons and text links that redirect to Amazon or another reputable online retailer. If you click on one of these affiliate links, and end up buying something from the retailer, Single-Sourcing Solutions will earn a small commission on your purchase.

Other than these affiliate relationships, we receive no compensation from any product we recommend. We have no paid-recommendations, endorsement deals, or commission-based relationships with anyone.

Any recommendation we make, we stand behind as users, implementers, life-long learners, and the respect we have for any people or companies we mention in our publications. We want to emphasize that we do not link to any product only for possible financial gain. Doing so does not provide real value, and is a disservice to our readers. We do not link to products we feel are inferior and we are not paid to deliver positive reviews.

Privacy policy

This site is owned and operated by Single-Sourcing Solutions, Inc. (referred to as “we,” “us,” or “our” herein). By accessing this site, you agree to the terms and conditions set forth in this document. Except as otherwise indicated on this site and except for the trademarks, service marks and trade names of other companies that are displayed on this site, all trademarks, service marks and trade names are proprietary to Single-Sourcing Solutions, Inc.

We DO NOT sell your personal information. We collect and use personal information only as needed to deliver our products, services, websites, and mobile applications, and to communicate with you about the same, or as you have requested (collectively, our “Services”). Your personal information includes information such as:

  • Name
  • Address
  • Telephone number
  • Email address
  • Billing and payment information
  • Other data collected that could directly or indirectly identify you.

Single-Sourcing Solutions will safeguard the confidentiality and security of the information we obtain from you. This notice describes our privacy policy as it relates to the collection, protection and disclosure of such information resulting from credit card transactions only.

What we collect, how we collect it, and why

Much of what you likely consider personal data is collected directly from you when you:

  1. create an account or purchase any of our Products or Services (e.g., billing information, including name, address, credit card number);
  2. request assistance from our sales or customer support team (e.g., phone number);
  3. complete contact forms or request newsletters or other information from us (e.g., email); or
  4. participate in webinars and surveys, apply for a job, or otherwise participate in activities we promote that might require information about you.

We also collect additional information when delivering our Products and Services to you to ensure necessary and optimal performance. When you visit or interact with our sites, services, applications, tools or messaging, we or our authorized service providers may use cookies, web beacons, and other similar technologies to make your experience better, faster and safer, and to allow us to continuously improve our sites, services, applications, and tools. Any personal information or data collected by these technologies is used only by us or by our authorized service providers on our behalf.

How we use information

We limit the data we collect and use it only (1) for that which we have been given permission, (2) as necessary to deliver the Products and Services you purchase or interact with, or (3) as we might be required or permitted for legal compliance or other lawful purposes.

Delivering, improving, updating and enhancing our services

We collect various information relating to your purchase, use and / or interactions with our Services.We utilize this information to:

  • Improve and optimize the operation and performance of our Services (again, including our websites and mobile applications)
  • Diagnose problems with and identify any security risks, errors, or needed enhancements to the Services
  • Detect and prevent fraud and abuse of our Services and systems
  • Collecting aggregate statistics about use of the Services
  • Understand and analyze how you use our Services and what products and services are most relevant to you.

Much of the data collected is aggregated or statistical data about how individuals use our Services, and is not linked to any personal information.

Sharing with trusted third parties

We may share your personal information with third parties with which we have partnered to allow you to integrate their services into our own Services, and with trusted third party service providers as necessary for them to perform services on our behalf, such as:

  • Processing credit card payments
  • Conducting webinars or surveys
  • Performing analysis of our Services and customers demographics
  • Communicating with you, such as by way email or survey delivery
  • Customer relationship management

We only share your personal information as necessary for any third party to provide the services as requested or as needed on our behalf. These third parties (and any subcontractors they may be permitted to use) are subject to strict data processing terms and conditions and are prohibited from utilizing, sharing or retaining your personal information for any purpose other than as they have been specifically contracted for (or without your consent).

Communicating with you

We may contact you directly or through a third party service provider regarding products or services you have signed up or purchased from us, such as necessary to deliver transactional or service related communications. We may also contact you with offers for additional services we think you’ ll find valuable if you give us consent, or where allowed based upon legitimate interests. You don’t need to provide consent as a condition to purchase our goods or services. These contacts may include:

  • Email
  • Telephone calls
  • Messenger applications (e.g. Slack, Discord, Skype, etc.)

You may also update your subscription preferences with respect to receiving communications from us and/or our partners by unsubscribing, unfollowing, closing your account, or otherwise terminating our relationship according to active contractual terms.

If we collect information from you in connection with a co-branded offer, it will be clear at the point of collection who is collecting the information and whose privacy policy applies. In addition, it will describe any choice options you have in regards to the use and/or sharing of your personal information with a co-branded partner, as well as how to exercise those options. We are not responsible for the privacy practices or the content of third-party sites. Please read the privacy policy of any website you visit.

Transfer of personal information abroad

If you utilize our Services from a country other than the country where our servers are located, your personal information may be transferred across international borders. Also, when you call us or initiate a chat, we may provide you with support from one of our global locations outside your country of origin.

Compliance with legal, regulatory, and law enforcement requests

We disclose information only when it is necessary for the conduct of business, or under circumstances where disclosure is required by law. Information may also be disclosed for audit purposes, to regulatory agencies or for other general administrative services. We do not disclose information about you to other entities who may want to sell their products to you.

Securing, storing, and retaining your data

We follow generally accepted standards to store and protect the personal information we collect, both during transmission and once received and stored, including utilization of encryption where appropriate. We retain personal information only for as long as necessary to provide the Services you have requested and thereafter for a variety of legitimate legal or business purposes.
